Pictures taken in areas of South America dedicated to the cultivation of GM Roundup-Ready soy

The following pictures were taken in areas of Argentina and Paraguay dedicated to the cultivation of genetically modified (GM) Roundup Ready soy. The soy is sprayed with massive amounts of Roundup herbicide. The spray drifts into people’s homes and schools, and gets into rain and water courses. It is reported to severely affect the health of local people.

Increasingly, other pesticides beside Roundup are added to the spray mixture in order to control glyphosate-resistant weeds.

The pictures include photographs of people, children and foetuses with birth defects and skin conditions taken in hospitals.

All the cases featured here are typical of those found in areas subjected to Roundup spraying. However, it is never possible to identify with certainty the cause of any one specific case of a birth defect or skin condition. Affected people include crop spraying pilots, farmers, and children.

PLEASE NOTE: SOME OF THESE IMAGES ARE EXTREMELY DISTRESSING. They were forwarded to us by doctors, scientists, activists, and victims of spraying in the affected countries who agreed to their publication in the interests of educating the European public about the effects of GM soy cultivation.

PLEASE ONLY PROCEED TO VIEW THE IMAGES IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS AND ARE PREPARED FOR THEIR DISTURBING NATURE.
